Cheryl came to reflexology later in life, qualifying as a reflexologist in 2014, after discovering the benefits of holistic treatments and their contribution to general health and well-being for herself.
Soon after qualifying, Cheryl attended specialist training with Sally Kay in Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage, to help clients with lymphoedema as well as other chronic health conditions. She has attended further training to support clients throughout pregnancy, and also recently trained in facial reflexology.
In December 2016 Cheryl also qualified as a reproductive reflexologist and offers support to couples who are having difficulties with conception and issues associated with fertility. Reproductive reflexology can be used as a stand-alone treatment to enhance natural fertility or with medicated cycles / IVF. She is delighted to have played a part in several successful journeys to parenthood.
She is privileged to live and work surrounded by the beauty and peace of the gorgeous Wye Valley and Black Mountains, close to the picturesque market town of Hay on Wye.
Cheryl works primarily as a mobile therapist visiting clients in their own home, but also provides treatments from her cottage near Glasbury on Wye. Cheryl loves reflexology and has developed a great respect for feet, the stories they tell and the hard work they do! She is continually impressed at the part which reflexology can play, not only in helping to balance our bodies and facilitate our healing, but also in giving us much needed time to ourselves in an increasingly busy and demanding world.
Cheryl holds a Level 2 Certificate in the use of Bach Flower Essences, and is also a member of the Association of Reproductive Reflexologists and the Federation of Holistic Therapists.

Reflexology is a popular and relaxing holistic healing technique whereby pressure is applied to precise reflex points on the feet . The reflex areas on the soles, sides and top of the feet correspond with all parts of the body. Therefore the foot maps the body.
It is a non-invasive, gentle therapy, perfect for all ages, from babies through to older people and for those with restricted mobility.
Reflexology aims to restore balance and energy flow to the whole body, stimulating underactive areas and calming overactive areas. One way this happens is by unblocking congestion that has accumulated in the nerve endings in the feet (face and hands). By stimulating these nerve endings, signals to the brain and the rest of the body are improved.
Reflexology is a lovely therapy for helping our bodies deal with the negative impact of today’s hectic, modern way of life, and a perfect antidote to stress and anxiety!
Reflexology treats the whole body by:
Detoxing and cleansing
Boosting the lymph system
Calming the nervous system (helping to promote relaxation and a deep sense of calm)
Boosting energy levels
Last, but not least ... it is a real treat for your feet!
Please note that I do not diagnose medical conditions. Reflexology is a holistic therapy, treating the whole person, not just symptoms of disease and illness. It is not a replacement for medical treatment.
